Eph 6:13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The evil day is not the day the enemy showed up, it is the day we feel like complaining, quitting, running away or allow depression and discouragement take over.
Paul says we are to all to stand so we can withstand.....
In other words, we must prepare for that time, so we can withstand and endure. The enemy will throw all kinds of things at us, the biggest and most common is discouragement and depression. Recognize these for what they are evil attacks to get you to surrender, give up, step back or run away.
If you are in that situation God knows where you are and he is well aware of the distress you are experiencing.
You are not alone - he will go with you never leave you.
Prepare yourself every morning for the battle - put on the whole armor or as Peter said in 1 Peter "Gird up the loins of your mind". That means to take control of your emotions, feelings and thoughts. Do not let them drive you. Let the Holy Spirit lead you.
Take hold of the word of God that applies directly to your circumstance, scriptures that will brace you to stand and stay the course. Sometime the victory is in the staying and standing. As long as Moses kept his hand raised (Praise and worship) the battle went their way, when he dropped them they would begin to loose ground. God says to us; "we can all things through Christ who strengthens us". All means all. If. It just not surrendering today, just casting down the vain imaginations, the thought that would move you to quit. Why did. God require Joshua. And the israelites march around for 6 days with no results, this is how faith works. We move forward not seeing with our eyes the victory in obedience and keep following along because the victory is there ahead of us, 10 steps 50 step 100 steps God knows we just keep marching toward it until it comes to us.
